Mackenzie fell asleep on my lap the other day. I just love watching her sleep - she still looks like a baby :)
Here she is hanging out in her crib. I honestly think its a little strange (in a good way), but she loves to sit in her crib and look at books with one of her kiddie cd's playing. She will ask to go to her bed and listen to music, and she will stay in there for half an hour at least. I am glad that she can entertain herself like that!
She loves playing on our bed. Here she is buried under pillows the other day.

Here is Mackenzie hanging out on her potty. We are really working on the potty training right now, and most days she is doing great! Yesterday was the first time we took her out in public in her big girl panties. We went to Target, Kohls, and to eat, and she didn't have any accidents! Yay!
Here is a 24 week belly pic, for everyone who is just dying to see, lol.
Mackenzie has turned into an absolute monkey over the past week. I leave the room and come back, and she is on top of the couch, on top of the coffee table, on top of my bed, pretty much anything she can climb. Yesterday she was watching a movie on the little dvd player in her playroom while I did yoga in the living room. I went in to check on her and she had climbed inside her old cradle on top of all her stuffed animals and she had the dvd player on her lap. It was pretty cute. I got a picture before I took her out. :)

I don't know why this turned out sideways! But if you turn your head you can see Mackenzie dancing to Happy Feet.

Mackenzie's Birthday Party!

We had Mackenzie's birthday party today up at the church in the youth building. It was a big hit! We had a veggie tales theme (Kenzie's absolute favorite right now), and we were so lucky to have grammy and peepaw come all the way from Colorado, as well as Matt's parents, sister, our 3 nieces and 2 nephews, and our good friends Max and Amy. We had a bunch of stuff for the kids to play in and climb through. The Bob and Larry cake was also a big hit! I think everyone had a lot of fun. We can not believe that our baby girl is going to be TWO tomorrow!

Here are a few more pictures from our Colorado trip. We are back home now, and somebody has sure developed a bit of an attitude over the past few days. Last night I asked Mackenzie to help me pick up her balls (she took a bag of 100 plastic balls and covered the kitchen floor with them). She threw the biggest fit, crossed her arms and said "NO mamma, no want to!" And today we had to leave Atlanta Bread Co and eat in the car because she wanted a COOKIE and was going to let everybody know about it! Hmmm. I can definitely see that big TWO looming in the very near future!

We have gone for just a few walks since we got here. It is COLD and ICY!!!
Mackenzie loves to sit on the edge of the couch and play with this snow globe.
Here is a picture of Kenz in the dress that her great grandma sent for Christmas! It is so cute, and she even let me put the hat on for a few minutes to take a picture! I love that she is learning to smile for the camera now.

Fixing Christmas breakfast!
Our white Christmas.

Well, I'm finally going to try and catch up on Christmas pictures! We have been having a great time out here in Colorado. We actually drove straight through - 14 hours - that is the first time we have attempted that with Mackenzie in tow. She did GREAT. She is such a fantastic little traveler. We left about 4 in the morning and she slept for the first couple of hours. And we had packed a few new videos and other early Christmas surprises for her. She was really really good.
The week before Christmas we just relaxed and finished up a few last minute things. We went to a Christmas party and my mom's work, which Mackenzie loved. Matt ran the sound system for my parents, and he also went out and got the sled run all ready!
On Christmas Eve we went to my aunt Aleda and uncle Jim's house up in Nederland. We had a very loud and exciting white elephant gift exchange - Matt ended up with a multi-purpose tool that he loves. Christmas morning was so much fun, except dad ended up having to work for awhile because it SNOWED! It was gorgeous, but there is always the drawback of him having to work. Mackenzie helped stir the eggs for breakfast, we had a huge feast and then opened presents. Mackenzie of course was totally spoiled! She got a shopping cart that she loves, a rocking horse that she really likes but is scared to get on right now, a new dolly, wood food, puzzles, a toddler lap top, new jammies.... I could go on and on! We all were very blessed, though, and we were just thankful to be with family on Christmas. I will post more pics, I promise!

Mackenzie absolutely loves hot chocolate. Except it has to be warm chocolate since she is very sensitive to things that are even remotely hot.
Here she is doing some gluing for a Christmas gift. We had a lot of fun and a lot of mess!
We got Madison and Karlee a tunnel for Christmas, and it was a huge hit will all three girls.
Mackenzie got a new trike from Nanny and Papa. She loves it, but it is going to take some practice to get the hang of the pedals!

So, I have some catching up to do! I can't believe how busy the past couple of weeks have been. We are all doing fine, aside from Mackenzie's never ending snotty nose and stubborn rash around her mouth that will NOT go away. Tonight we had our Christmas with Matt's family, and on tuesday we leave for Colorado!
